Reach For The Dark Sky

It's 56° degrees, overcast (now 48° degrees and raining), and I'm experiencing a bad case of the "Monday blues" (on a Friday). Ergo, to match my outside match my insides, here's the look I wore, featuring Tom Ford's Noir Collection.
















In my opinion, the "rock star" of Tom Ford's Noir Collection was the Cream and Powder Eye Color on 01 Night Sky. With the combination of the blackened, deep, navy blue cream and the matte, blackened midnight blue with aqua-blue, purple and violet microshimmer eyeshadows, it seems as if Mr. Ford was able to capture (and bottle) the night sky. Regardless, if worn alone or layered together, there will be creasing,and fading, and patchiness...but, I'm okay with that, as I do like me some messy, rock star makeup.

The Eye Definer Pencil in 01 Navy Black is a black-based navy blue, with blue micro-glitter. I'm not sure if the liner is safe for the water line or not, but I didn't experience any discomfort or scratchiness during my 14 hours of wear.

I really wish the Lash Tips Mascara, in Pure Cobalt, showed more pigmentation on the lashes; it's such an amazing, richly, vibrant cobalt blue. I had to apply coat upon coat to achieve a resemblance of a vibrant pop of color.

I already owned the matte lipstick in First Time, whenever it was first released. I forgot to include it in the swatches, but First time is an almost nude, pinky-peach. I applied my "old faithful," MAC's Lip Pencil in Stripdown over First Time to mute out the shade.

The powder shadow patted on the lid.

You can some patchiness on the lid.
