Runyon Canyon is a 160-acre public park located in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California, and is known for its stunning panoramic views of Los Angeles, including the Hollywood Sign, the downtown skyline, and the Pacific Ocean on clear days.
The canyon is named after a wealthy East Coast businessman, Carman Runyon, who owned the land in the early 1900s. The area has a rich history, with ties to early Hollywood and the silent film era, including the legendary actor Errol Flynn, who lived nearby and is often linked to the area. The park was eventually acquired by the City of Los Angeles and opened to the public in 1984
Transitional months like March and June can be a bit challenging for me, but September has to be the most difficult. Based on the equinox, the majority of the month is still summer, and in Tokyo, it’s still extremely hot and humid. However, I’m eager for fall to get underway because Halloween season, Thanksgiving, and all the autumnal fixings are my favorite time of the year.
Beauty-wise, In September, I like to wear products that work for both seasons, seamlessly segueing from one into the other.
Lauren B Beauty perfectly describes Runyon Canyon as a luscious deep caramel glaze with red undertones. The finish is a creme with a hint of jelly, but not enough to make it a full-on crelly—maybe that's where the term 'glaze' comes in? I really love Lauren B Beauty's polish formula!
Runyon Canyon reminds me of the warm, ruddy tones of the outdoors in summer and fall, and I love wearing it throughout both seasons (you’ll see me mention this a lot in upcoming posts).
