As we stepped into the forest, the air seemed to grow colder, thick with mist and the weight of an unearthly silence. Our hands clasped tightly, fingers intertwined, as if letting go would mean being swallowed by the shadows that lurked in the twisted trees. The path was narrow, overgrown with roots that seemed to pulse beneath the earth, and the trees above towered like ancient sentinels, their branches stretching like skeletal arms ready to ensnare. In this place, even our own footsteps sounded like the marching of ghosts. Holding hands was all that kept us tethered to the realm of the living, reminding us that we weren’t completely alone.

Recently, I’ve been getting back into writing, and the passage above was inspired by Hold My Hand from Shleee Polish. As I painted my nails, the polish's murky tones and evocative name echoed in my mind, sparking a scene of two people, frightened, clasping each other's hands in a nail-digging grip as they venture deeper into a dark, eerie forest." I'll be sharing other glimpses of this story throughout my posts and will publish the completed work in the future.

Hold My Hand is a murky, pool-green cream, loaded with sparkling emerald green and blue shimmers that create a moody manicure perfect for the spooky season.

The formula applies smoothly, and like most of Shleee's polishes, it reaches full opacity and maximum effect in three coats. However, Hold My Hand dries slightly dull, so I’d recommend a reliable glossy topcoat to revive the shimmer’s full impact.
